Gods and Kings
Challenging perceptions of what it is to live with mental illness, Gods and Kings is a bracingly honest and often hugely funny real-life story which discusses the journey from being diagnosed with bipolar to coming to terms with mental health problems and all the ups and downs in between.
Following the matinee performance on the 8th September, Mind Cymru will be taking part in a Question and Answer session, where alongside Julie Morgan AM, the playwright himself Paul Whittaker and other representatives from arts, health and disability, we will be discussing some of the issues that arise from the play – mental health services and support, diagnosis and medication, and broader issues of self-determination, self-management and identity. Mind Cymru will have information and resources on display throughout the week.
