Hen Linell Bell – A Far Old Line Launch Event
7.30pm Tuesday March 28th
Canolfan Arad Goch, Bath Street, Aberystwyth SY23 INA
In July and August Arad Goch will be staging a large scale community project in Aberystwyth and the launch event will be the opportunity to learn about their exciting plans.
The project will celebrate the culture and heritage of Ceredigion by presenting a series of brand new and interactive performances and arts activities. Drawing inspiration from the story of Cantre’r Gwaelod, the sunken land in Cardigan Bay, these performances and events will take place across the town – on the streets, on the promenade, and on the beaches.
The company will be working closely with individuals, organisations, businesses, groups and schools from the area in order to create an innovative and inclusive outdoor extravaganza. Local audiences and visitors will be able to experience individual events that will also encourage them to return and experience more of what’s on offer.
One of the main aims is to bring together people from different backgrounds and interests. Here’s a rough overview of what we’re looking for:
- Volunteers to be part of the production, marketing, stage management and costume teams – mentoring and training by industry professionals will be provided
- various performers – instrumentalists, actors, buskers, storytellers, performers to take part in large crowd scenes, stiltwalkers, circus performers, magicians, jugglers, drummers, fire throwers, and other entertainers
- businesses, groups and schools – to take part in dance workshops for a large scale dance performance
- groups of cyclists, skateboarders and runners
- ushers and stewards
