Artist in Residency
Celf o Gwmpas are delighted to welcome Lou Lockwood, the first of four artists in residence to arrive at Centre Celf.
Lou is using her time at Celf o Gwmpas to further develop ideas using pin hole cameras during her residency: Imprint – a further experiment in touch memory.
Lou will be in residence throughout October, so look out for pin hole cameras dotted around Llandrindod Wells…
Lockwood works in sculpture, audio, photography, film and performance. The direction of her work is in response to her need to adapt to sight loss and to develop a language in art that aims to bring sighted and non-sighted audiences together.
The four residencies in partnership with Disability Arts Cymru are funded by the Arts Council of Wales and provide a unique experience for Disabled Artists living in Wales to develop their artistic practice.
