Call for artists! An amazing opportunity to apply for a 4 week residence in a supportive, creative and focused environment in beautiful Mid Wales.

Celf o Gwmpas is offering 4 x 4 week residencies in partnership with Disability Arts Cymru (DAC) http://www.disabilityartscymru.co.uk that are designed to support Wales based disabled artists to develop new work.

The residencies will provide the time and support for artists to focus exclusively upon their own practice. The 4 artists will each have the opportunity to spend time with ground-breaking support organisation Celf o Gwmpas at their base in Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and focus on research, experimentation and the development of new work. The successful applicants will form part of a national and international residency project supporting disabled artists working in a wide variety of art forms.

Residencies will be taking place in October, November, December 2017 and January 2018: dates tbc.

Selection will be made on the basis of a proposal. We wish to support artistic research with the emphasis on ambition, risk-taking and experimentation.

The residency opportunity is supported by Arts Council Wales.

The package includes:

•£1,000 each to cover artist fees, travel and subsistence costs

•Accessible self-contained accommodation

•Shared studio facilities at Centre Celf

•Opportunity to show work in progress

•Advice and guidance on future opportunities, including consideration for Celf o Gwmpas exhibition programme.
