My Voice Recovery Radio Project

In partnership with Glyndwr University and CAIS, AVOW are leading on delivering this innovative and exciting Big Lottery funded 3 year project.
Working across North Wales, but especially in rural areas, the project team will empower people in recovery from drug and alcohol misuse to sustain their recovery through the medium of recovery radio. Recording, editing and broadcasting people’s stories in their own communities will build skills, confidence and self-esteem.
The post holder will work with existing project volunteers and a team of staff to manage the project throughout North Wales.
Knowledge of issues affecting people in recovery from addiction will be essential for this post. The successful post holder will need to travel across North Wales and other areas.
This post attracts an 8% employer contribution into the AVOW group pension scheme and is funded by Big Lottery People & Places grant until end September 2019.
