Representations of Disabled People in Drama

Discussion Video

Dada festEarlier this year, Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse invited DaDaFest to lead a post-show discussion on ‘A Day in the Death of Joe Egg’, arguably one of the most controversial plays about disability over the last 50 years.

This short film contains excepts of the fascinating discussion by the Director, cast and disability arts leaders including DaDaFest Artistic Director Ruth Gould and Board member Janet Price. Topics discussed included whether the play really is about the experience of disability, and from whose viewpoint.
