WOW Film Festival 2018 opens 13 March

Welcome to WOW Film Festival 2018!WOW Film Festival returns for its seventeenth edition to take you on a journey across the world from the comfort of your cinema seat.


‘Tales from the Silk Road’ is our special focus this year. A cinematic journey across along the ancient trade networks where East meets West, highlights include the delightful Heavenly Nomadic from Kyrgyzstan, the stunning Foxtrotfrom Israel, the charismatic Wajib from Palestine and the exquisite Israfil from Iran.

Also not to be missed are the hugely powerful Aboriginal tale Sweet Country and the surreal art world satire The Square from Sweden.

At our new Cardiff venue, Tramshed Cinema, we will be working in partnership with Cardiff Animation Festival to bring you three stunning new anime – including the eagerly awaited Mary and the Witch’s Flower – which also screen in Aberystwyth.
