Wool and Fleece Fair
Saturday 3rd of February 2018
Penygroes Memorial Hall.
10am – 4pm. Free
How can local wool sustainably support our environment, livelyhoods, traditional crafts and communities?
An opportunity for those keeping sheep and producing wool to connect and trade with crafters and lovers of wool.
Discussions with Hilary Kehoe PONT (Pori, Natur a Threftadaeth – Grazing, Nature and Heritage) and Aaron Hughes ( shearer and advisor with Farming Connect).
Plenty of locally produced, native fleeces for sale!
Tea, coffee, cake and refreshments available.
Demonstrations of spinning, felting, weaving and woolen crafts.
If you keep sheep, and have fleeces for sale please bring along with some information, pictures of the breed and where in North Wales you’re based.
If you’re a crafter please wear and bring some creations. We will have space for a Show and Tell as well as a marketplace to sell some items. If you’d like to add a little info about your location, what you do, we can place all skills and wool resources on our map.
This is a new initiative organised by a group in Gwynedd, but it is open to all. Please contact contact Nicolenico_23le@yahoo.co.uk
