Made in Roath

2017 Festival Call Out

It  is not necessary to live in Roath to take part in the festival! Also, if anyone would like to submit work for the Open Exhibition which is at The Gate this year, please email with ‘expression of interest’ in the subject line, and if you live in Roath and would like to open your home or studio to the public, please email with ‘expression of interest’ in the title line also

madeinroath is an artist-led event, now in its 9th year, which aims to take art out of the gallery and into the wider community.

It showcases the work of emerging and established artists, makers, musicians, writers and performers, who use the whole of Roath as the venue, including domestic, commercial, public and overlooked or disused spaces. You do not need to be a Roath resident to participate in the festival.

madeinroath offers residents and visitors an opportunity to engage in the arts through a dynamic programme and events, including an open exhibition, open houses, open studios, film, poetry and literature, music, visual arts, outreach, education and workshops.

It’s an exciting opportunity for any creative practitioner to get involved with Roath’s community!

Volunteers are the backbone of madeinroath. As a community arts festival, we are only funded for about half of the work that we do. Without the time, support and knowledge of our volunteers the festival wouldn’t be what it is today.

This year we are introducing specific volunteer roles and we’d love your support!
