Rhôd Artists Group has a reputation for organising contemporary art exhibitions in a rural environment. As part of our commitment to rurality, accessibility and sustainability we would like to invite artists to come and research making work here with us.

Artists will be expected to a make a presentation of their practice to the other artists and any members of the public who attend. There will also be presentations by Rhôd Artists Group members and invited artists

The majority of spaces for making work are outdoors. This means it is possible to work on a large scale. There are some materials that can be made available for free. Artists should bring the tools they need. Making work is not a necessity, this is a wonderful opportunity to think about work and experiment in finding new approaches, or gather material and experiences for future work.

We are keen to make Art Camp accessible to everyone and will be liaising with Disability Arts Cymru on how to facilitate access to Art Camp activities. We would be happy to discuss with prospective participants how we can ensure an enjoyable and fulfilling experience for everyone.  Please email [email protected] if you have any questions.

To apply, please send your artist cv and a maximum of 6 images of your work to: [email protected] by Friday, June 22nd.

Art Camp is free – but you will need to bring your own tent/campervan/caravan. Rhôd Artists Group will provide an evening meal on 7 nights during the fortnight at a cost of £6 a head. Communal cooking facilities are available for all other meals.
