In exactly two weeks the first RawFfest GŵylGrai to take place in North Wales will open . There is a a packed programme (see highlights below!)
The big news is that there is still £1,000 worth of free and reduced price tickets for 14 – 25 year olds.

Youth Poet Laureate Sophie McKeand teaching us how to blog better, self publish and create punk poetry
music performances from rock to acoustic to folk, with workshops in song-writing (are you the next Adele or Ed Sheeran?) and a panel of music experts to grill about how to get into the industry
Radio Platfform – become a live DJ with WMC’s youth-led radio station
Follow the 2 part crash-course in film techniques and produce a short film

Day tickets cost £10 for Thursday, Sunday, £20 for Friday, Saturday and include meals.

Following the pilot festival in Newport last August, we are excited to start planning this summer’s RawFfest in Llandudno.
Would you like to help curate and programme the festival? (that is, chose exciting youth arts work and workshops for the festival)
Or to join the marketing group? (making sure everyone knows about the festival, helping to blog or tweet or Instagram, keeping Facebook up to date)
Or are you interested in the business side? (budgets, thinking how to fundraise, doing administrative jobs)
Or are you interested in event management? (stage management, logistics etc.)
Or are you based in or near to Llandudno and want to be part of the group that makes sure Llandudno’s unique personality is stamped on the festival.

RawFfest Tender opportunities
RawFfest GŵylGrai is a new, annual festival for young people throughout Wales. Our second festival will take place in North Wales from 17 – 20 August 2017.
We have two tender opportunities:
- Festival Administrator. Based in South East Wales, this role is crucial to ensuring all administrative systems run smoothly. Fee: £8,400 for January to September 2017. This is roughly equivalent to 2 days/week at £100/day.
- Youth Development Coordinator. Based at Venue Cymru, this person will work directly with young people and develop links with the youth and youth arts sector throughout Wales. Conversational Welsh is highly desirable for this role. Fee: £4,300 for January to September 2017. This is roughly equivalent to 1 day/ week at £100/day.
Closing date: 5pm Wednesday 14 December 2016.
Interviews: Monday 19 December in Cardiff for Administrator role; Tuesday 20 December at Venue Cymru for Youth Development role.

The first Youth Arts Festival for Wales is taking place at the Riverfront, and other venues in Newport,
from August 18th – 21st.
There will be a wide variety of performances, workshops and events and it should be a great experience for
14 -25 year olds.
