Comunications Assistant

37 hours / full time
fixed term contract until 31 March 2018 (maternity cover)
£17,000 – £20,000 pro rata

The Communications Assistant is responsible for supporting the delivery of the organisation’s Marketing and Communications Strategy. This involves maintaining the organisation’s social media accounts as well as updating and editing the website. This role also provides support for some of Literature Wales’ initiatives and events. You will work closely with all departments within the organisation to ensure effective communication of the activities and initiatives delivered by Literature Wales and its partners.

This is fixed term contract until 31 March 2018 and will ideally start on Monday 2 October 2017.

Independent Advocate Post – re-advert


Salary: £ 20,661 pro rata    (NJC scale Point 22-25)

16 hours per week

Dewis C.I.L wish to recruit a dynamic, self motivated person committed to the rights of vulnerable people and the value of advocacy. The post holder will primarily be supporting and representing disabled people and unpaid carers in Conwy, but must also be confident working with adults in a variety of situations within a crisis advocacy service.

The post holder will be computer literate with a high standard of written and verbal communication. The position is based at our satellite office in Colwyn Bay, but will involve regular travel throughout the Conwy local authority area and to our head office in Pontypridd.

Dewis C.I.L is an independent voluntary organisation with an integrated management committee of disabled and non-disabled people. We particularly encourage disabled people and people with direct experience of disability to apply. This post is subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
