A social research company based in Swansea called Opinion Research Services has been commissioned by Citizens Advice Cymru to explore housing issues with a range of private rented tenants. They would like to understand experiences of living in the private rented sector (especially in terms of the quality of their accommodation; repairs and fuel poverty; energy efficiency; security of tenure and tenancy contracts) as well as changes Welsh Government are making to rental contracts in 2017, and how best to communicate these.
As part of the research, they are really interested in talking to tenants who have physical disabilities and who currently rent from a private landlord. They are looking at recruiting a group of around 5 tenants with physical disabilities who live in the private rented sector to take part in a discussion group that would last about 2 hours or alternatively they could undertake interviews over the telephone.
They are interested in finding tenants who would be interested in taking part. They will be providing an incentive to recompense people for their time.
