Maggie Hampton: Strategic Director
Maggie, together with the Operational Director, is responsible for the development and direction of our policies, projects, programmes and partnerships, with Maggie’s focus being strategic development. She works with a wide range of organisations, funding bodies, both local and Welsh Government, representing our members needs. Maggie advises arts organisations on issues relating to disability and the arts and leads consultancies. She is available for public speaking, training, workshops and seminars.
Sara Mackay: Operational Director
Sara works alongside Maggie with joint responsibility for the development and direction of DAC as a whole. Sara’s particular area of focus is the financial, funding and operational direction and development of DAC and has overall responsibility for daily office, accounts, fundraising, project and line management. Sara also provides committee & event representation, co-ordinates the production of the “What’s On” newsletter and manages the Membership Scheme.
Sara Beer: Development Officer (part-time)
The Development Officers work is all about promoting and increasing the active involvement of disabled and deaf people in the arts in Wales, organising projects and events and providing support and advice for disabled and deaf artists. Sara’s particular interest is disability-led theatre and the development of the DAC’s Unusual Stage School.
Kate Hampton: Development Officer (part-time)
The Development Officers work is all about promoting and increasing the active involvement of disabled and deaf people in the arts in Wales, organising projects and events and providing support and advice for disabled and deaf artists. Kate, as Legacy Project Officer, has for the past three years assisted in organising numerous disability and youth-led projects leading up to the Olympic celebrations in 2012. Kate hopes to take forward the “Legacy” of those projects working with young disabled people across Wales.
Rachel Stelmach: West Wales Field Officer
Rachel works with artists and arts organisations in Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, offering individual support and linking artists to organisations and vice-versa.
Linda McMullen: Admin Officer
Linda works closely with the Operational Director providing an efficient financial and administration support service to the organisation.
Denni Turp: North Wales Field Officer
Denni works with artists and arts organisations across north Wales (Gwynedd, Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham) to develop networks and provide support and information.
Boadie is a Retired Hearing Dog who lives with Maggie. He is a real gentleman who welcomes visitors to the DAC office with a wagging tail and cheesy grin. Then he goes straight back to sleep, leaving the work to everyone else!
