Farewell and Thanks to Denni Turp
Our North West Wales Regional Officer is retiring at the end of this week. We are extremely grateful to Denni for all her amazing work for DAC over the past 5 years. She will be missed by the team and all the members, especially those members within NW Wales who have worked closely with her throughout her time at DAC. The North West Region has benefited enormously from Denni’s passion and energy and leaves a wonderful legacy in the publications she has been instrumental in creating.
Many thanks Denni and very best wishes for a long and happy retirement from us all.

Dementia Care for People from BME Communities – Research Project
Diverse Cymru is leading on a project whichwill undertake research into dementia care for people from BME communities in Wales. They will contact the 7 Local Health Boards to establish current users of services, identifying gaps in support for BME communities.
Research will include third sector provision from organisations currently providing services to older people with dementia including Age Concern; Dementia UK; Alzheimer’s Society as well as other BME-led third sector service providers working in the area and good practice in Wales and from other parts of the UK. Research will consider services and support available to people with dementia and their carers.
