National Paralympic Day and Liberty Festival

Saturday 3 September 2016 (1 to 6pm)

Liberty 16Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London

If you happen to be in London on 3rd September do go along to the Olympic Park for this year’s Liberty Festival.

To celebrate the start of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, try out para-sports and enjoy an incredible line-up of Deaf and disability arts at Liberty Festival. Events include the Paralympics GB Carnival, inclusive sports, music, film, dance, installations and visual arts, poetry and spoken word, street theatre and aerial performances. Highlights include premieres of two new outdoor shows; ‘Nodus Tollens’, from Deaf and Hearing Ensemble, set around a large smoking ‘volcano’ where underground dwellers emerge into the world and interact with the audience. Also unveiled at the festival is Bingo Lingo, a big new collaboration from Nicola Miles Wildin and Daryl Beeton, centred around a giant outdoor participatory bingo game. Both shows have been commissioned especially for the Liberty Festival thanks to support from Arts Council England.

The festival is free. For more information  please visit:
