Bob Gelsthorpe
As it waits, until it lasts

The recipient of this year’s Sir Leslie Joseph Young Artist Award 2017 is Bob Gelsthorpe. Gelsthorpe is based in Cardiff and works through a range of media including performance, photography and sculpture. This exhibition takes its inspiration from his late grandfather’s toolbox and explores notions of labour and memory.

Helen Sear
…the rest is smoke

Helen Sear is one of Wales’ most acclaimed artists, her work moves seamlessly between expanded notions of photography, sculpture and video. This exhibition is the first UK presentation of the work commissioned for Cymru yn Fenis/Wales in Venice 2015.
