Celebrating 100 years – Dylan Thomas 1914 – 2014
Dylan Thomas (1914 – 1953)
In many people’s view Dylan Thomas is regarded as one of the twentieth century’s greatest writers. The vast majority of Dylan Thomas’ work was inspired by South West Wales. He wrote a significant amount of his poetry before the age of twenty in his childhood home in Swansea, which provided material for his first two collections, 18 Poems (1934) and Twenty Five Poems (1936).
There is a web site set up to keep people informed of the celebrations to look forward to for the centenary year of Wales’ very own Dylan Thomas. It has plenty of information about the man too.
You can keep up-to-date with all manner of interesting things by ‘liking’ the facebook page Dylan Thomas 100.
