Brevis – a journal of short poetry and prose from Wales and beyond … seeks submissions of short poetry and prose for the launch of the first issue of our online literary journal which will be published 3 times a year.
Poetry: haiku, senru, tanka, kyoka, cherita, englyn, fibonacci, freestyle, any other poems 10 lines or less.
Prose: haibun, flash fiction, mini memoir, potted wisdom and more. Be creative, surprise me. I have quite eclectic tastes.
There is no particular theme for our first issue and I don’t mind work that has been published before providing you let me know where, so that we can give the original publisher credit and I would be very happy to post bi-lingual work. Please do not send work that shows predudice toward others, glorifies violence or uses bad language.
I am Karen Harvey, founder and Editor of Brevis. My poetry and flash fiction have been published in online and print journals and anthologies and I have been involved with a large number of poets and writers, especially among the haiku community for some time. My dream is that Brevis will showcase the high quality work of international poets, writers and dreamers for the enjoyment of all.
Please send your submissions, up to 10 short poems and/or 4 short prose ‘in the body of you email’ please to firstname.lastname@example.org
