BBC Wales

Disabled People and Politics

bbc-blocks-darkBBC Wales are working on a story about the challenges and barriers faced by disabled people who want to get a position in politics (be it local authorities, the Welsh Assembly or Westminster) or who are currently working in politics.

They are also looking at the challenges disabled people face accessing democracy – be it attending council meetings, or giving evidence at the Assembly, trying to vote, or even just going to speak to their local councillor, filling out forms or contacting the council about an issue such as waste collection.

They are keen to speak to people about their experiences.  Please contact Rachael Flint at the BBC on 02920322236  Rachel.flint@bbc.co.uk   or through twitter @RSLFlint
