The challenge is: write down the thing that makes you most anxious – on a piece of tape, or sticky note, or even your hand. Take a selfie with it and share it on social media. Hundreds of people have already shared theirs – lots are really moving and inspiring.
It’s all to say we won’t be silenced by anxiety because, shockingly, even younger people think that bottling things up is the right thing to do!
- Four in five under-35 year olds put on a brave face when they are anxious.
- A quarter of under-35s feel that showing their emotions is a sign of weakness.
So what do you think? If you don’t normally talk about what worries you, could you Take Off The Tape on something that makes you anxious?
Please only take part if you’re 100% ready to do this – don’t push yourself too hard. But if you’re not feeling up to it, perhaps you could share it with a friend? And if you are ready, thank you! Keeping anxiety inside is a big problem. Together we can help to change that.
